The solution

  The morning commenced with a Welcome to Country from Tyra Murray, buffet-style cooked breakfast, then the Live broadcast of the sold-out “Celebrating Women in Conservation” event in Melbourne, presented by Bush Heritage Australia and Trust for Nature. The program featured an inspiring keynote address from Lisa Miller, highlighting leadership and innovation in conservation.
   A key focus of the event was the contribution of local conservation covenant landholders Judy Frankenberg and Raylene Brown, who shared first hand experiences of land management and biodiversity protection on their properties. The discussion reinforced the importance of community-led conservation initiatives, the support of Landcare and the critical role private landholders play in environmental stewardship.

 The post-event quantitative, scale-based survey questions indicated a high level of satisfaction, improved connections with others in the conservation community, and increased motivation to continue conservation work. It is evident that attendees would like the event to be held again next year.
