The NSW Landcare Gateway reaches a big milestone!

We welcome McIntyre St Reserve Landcare Group as the Gateway's 1,000th group.

The NSW Landcare Gateway has registered its 1,000th group. This milestone was reached in a major sign-up of Landcare groups in the Lake Macquarie Network.

Group 1,000 is McIntyre St Reserve Landcare Group, which is based in the Newcastle suburb of Cardiff.  McIntyre St Reserve Landcare first formed in 2002 with an aim to remove invasive weed species, increase biodiversity for the area and help control erosion along the nearby creek line.

At present McIntyre St could definitely use some new recruits. If you think you can help out here or with other groups in the Lake Macquarie area please click here for the contact details of the Lake Macquarie coordinator.

Late Final Extra - since our 1,000th group was signed up we have had plenty more registrations. We now have over 1100 groups on gateway.
