April MLG event - film “The Wisdom to Survive”

This short film “The Wisdom to Survive” examines the likely consequences of climate change and what might be needed to promote action to halt this process. It explores how our attitudes to nature and appreciation of our place on the planet are important to our survival, and to the survival of other living things. The film will be followed by discussion over supper. RSVP: for catering purposes please by Wednesday 4 April. This week’s film and discussion are a prelude to a Landcare forum on climate change on Friday 25th May, 9am to 4pm, at Yass Memorial Hall, with great speakers and opportunities for questions. More details will be sent shortly. Our MLG event in May will be a field visit “Planning for planting part 1” to look at a property and discuss the issues to be considered in planning for revegetation. There will be a sequel meeting “Planning for planting Part 2 – a guide to plant selection for your property” – dates yet to be set for both events. Other events under planning for the rest of the year include: - Solar power talk - A presentation - “Glimpse the private life of fauna with trail camera” - Wildflower walk - Murrumbateman Field Days - AGM and Xmas party
