Nature based activities for Yass youth
Yass Landcare Group hosts environmental workshops for Yass youth
Since 2024 Yass Landcare have held regular environmental activities for Yass youth. Such activities have included:
- water watch at the Yass Gorge
- environmental animal trail hunts also at the Yass Gorge
- figure clay making
- the creation of seed - plant balls
- environmental art competition where participants artworks have been displayed at the Yass Library.
- Science week activities which included card making with flora and leaves, soil testing, creating fabric prints using fruits and vegetables
