Dungog Common is a Crown Reserve of 260 ha located on the very edge of the town of Dungog. Cared for by a dedicated group of volunteers, the 'Dungog Commoners', and managed by the Dungog Common Recreation Reserve Trust the Common is zoned for passive recreational use and environmental protection. The Common provides habitat for threatened wildlife including koala, spotted-tail quoll, brush-tailed phascogale, grey-headed flying fox, forest owls, and woodland birds. The aim of the group is to protect and preserve this habitat, especially the listed slaty red gum (Eucalyptus glaucina) and the endangered white-flowered wax plant (Cynanchum elegans), through weed removal, erosion control, and revegetation. No publisherby-ncWeed controlNative VegetationBiodiversityRiparianCommunityErosion ControlPublic Lands and ReservesCultural HeritageGrazingOrganisationCoolaburragundy Riverwalk

Greetings all! Want some free exercise and the opportunity to improve the surrounds of the Wamboin Community Hall? We have 40 cubic meters of mulch to move and plan to do this on Saturday the 30th of November starting at 8 am and finishing about 10 am. Please bring whatever you can to help: a wheelbarrow, mulching fork, rake, garden fork or shovel and of course wear protection such as gloves, dust mask, hat and sunburn cream. The mulch is already in four piles and ideally we will have about 5 people per pile so we can swap around the tasks of raking, shovelling and wheelbarrowing. Looking forward to seeing the community of Wamboin turn out in force! No publisherCommunity2019/11/21 03:27:44 GMT+0EventAnnual General Meeting, 4 Nov 2017
