Landcare NSW Scholarships

Landcare NSW is offering three scholarships to increase capacity, build capabilities, improve efficiencies and support self-sustenance.

Landcare NSW has a foundation of volunteering and membership groups enhancing natural resource management and on ground outcomes. The Landcare NSW Scholarship’s purpose through education, is to nurture, encourage and support current and future leaders in Landcare across NSW.

The Landcare NSW Scholarship is being offered as a part of the Shared Services Hub, through the Landcare Enabling Program (LEP). It supports the key outcomes of the Landcare Enabling Program to increase capacity, build capabilities, improve efficiencies and support self-sustenance.

Eligibility

  • Current Regional Administration Support Officers are eligible and encouraged to apply for the Landcare NSW Scholarship.
  • Current Volunteers in a Landcare NSW member group, Network or Region and are either a current Committee Member or willing to be a Committee member of a Landcare NSW member group in the future.
  • Volunteers managing a paid LEP role ie. a LLC, RLC or RASO position
  • Regional Landcare Coordinators and Local Landcare Coordinators are not eligible to apply for the Scholarship as they receive a professional development bursary for training and education through the Landcare Enabling Program. 

Criteria

The criteria for the Landcare NSW Scholarship are as follows:

1. Present a written document (500 to 2000 words) and/or a 2–5-minute video of yourself addressing the following:

  • Introduce yourself and where you are based, what you currently do for Landcare.
  • What attributes you have which would make you a great future leader
    for Landcare in NSW.
  • Which course you are interested in applying for and how you would utilise those learnings and qualifications for future use both personally and for Landcare NSW.

2. Letter of recommendation from a mentor, employer, community leader or colleague.

3. Outline your participation in environmental groups or organisations, which have contributed to positive people based outcomes.

4. How do you plan to organise your time in order to fulfil the study load, to successfully complete the course?

5. What difference will this scholarship make to your life and your future career?

Complete the application form below addressing all the selection criteria, for the Landcare NSW Scholarship. You will receive an email with confirmation of receipt of your application and also future communication via email, as to the success of your application.

Deadlines

Applications start from the 8th of October 2025 and close 10th of November 2025.
