Community Tree Planting Day- "Mandanong"Binda

Volunteers are welcome to attend a community tree planting day at "Mandanong"Binda on Sunday 3rd April. The Douglass Family and Friends will be planting 7000 trees and shrubs to help restore important habitat connections in the Kanangra Boyd to Wyangala Link.

Monthly propagation session

The Gearys Gap/Wamboin Landcare Group holds monthly plant propagation sessions, regular plant sales and occasional field days and community planting sessions. All activities are notified to members via email and also advertised where possible in The Whisper and the Bungendore Mirror. Membership is free and all hands are welcome! Propagation sessions are usually held from 9 to 11am on the first Saturday of each month at the Group's nursery in Wamboin. Sessions may include education on plant identification (especially weeds), propagation methods and other topics of interest. Meetings are held during propagation sessions rather than being held separately. The group has a large annual plant sale at the Bywong Car Boot Sale and also regularly sells plants at the monthly Wamboin Home Produce Market.

April Soils Day- Launch of the National Soils Skills Competiton- Dinner in Cullerin

Upper Lachlan Landcare are proud to present the launch of the National Soils Skills Competition in the Upper Lachlan Region. We will be having a dinner with guest speaker Gerry Gillespie from Resource Recovery at the newly restored Old Coach Stables Restaurant at Cullerin. David Hardwick will also be there to give us an run down on how to get involved in this innovative competition and why..

Principles of pasture cropping with Col Seis

Central Tablelands Landcare has a limited number of places on a bus leaving Orange to visit Col Seis's property to learn about the principles of pasture cropping. Be quick to register your interest as spots are limited.
