The Balala-Brushgrove Landcare group has implemented a wide range of natural resource management projects since its inception in 1989.
Its projects have included revegetation works, erosion remediation, sustainable grazing practices and various soil health projects.
As gully erosion control is one of the major concerns for the area, the group has launched numerous erosion rehabilitation projects.
The group also works in partnership with the University of New England and Department of Industry and Investment on soil health and grazing management projects.
As well as implementing on-ground works to achieve biophysical targets, the group has a history of hosting awareness-raising activities and demonstration projects for the public, including a soil health forum, seminars, field days and workshops.
