ANU Sustainable Farms Field Day At Lilac Vale Farm Yarra with the Landcare Goulburn Mulwaree Regenerative Grazing and Farming Group

Join the ANU Sustainable Farms team and the Landcare Goulburn Mulwaree Regenerative Grazing and Farming Group to learn about the latest research into the benefits of enhancing farm dams.

The primary event activity will be the visit to two farm dams on Lilac Vale Farm, a property belonging to Mike Steketee. The dams have been improved by fencing them and carrying out plantings.

Ecologists Richard Beggs and Eleanor Langwill discuss the importance of farm dams in the landscape and the benefits of enhancing farm dams from an ecological and farming production point of view

There will also be a walk to see remnant area of bushland and the other extensive plantings that have been completed over a period of some years.

Lunch will be provided. Please BYO chair and water, remember to bring a hat and closed in walking shoes.
