Malabar Headland contains one of the last remaining stands of the endangered ecological community, Eastern Suburbs Banksia Scrub (ESBS). Volunteers help protect this fragile community through the removal of noxious weeds. Volunteers work in the section of bushland within Malabar Headland National Park.
