Maitland Landcare Incorporated - Rutherford Site
Since 2020, local residents have been caring for a small recreational reserve off Tannant Avenue and St Fagans Parade, Rutherford. It is 2 hectares of mixed open parkland and remnant Lower Hunter Spotted Gum Ironbark Forest where masses of woody weed trees have been removed and replaced with native trees, shrubs and grasses. Working bees occur on the 2nd Sunday of each month at 1pm.
