Linda Cavanagh

Hello!

I'm Linda Cavanagh and I’ve been working as the as the Regional Landcare Coordinator (RLC) for the South East region since 2020. I live and work on a property with my family near Boorowa and have a keen interest in promoting regenerative agricultural practices in an unpredictable climatic environment and believe that Landcare has an important role in restoring the balance of diversity in our landscape.

RLC role

The RLC position is hosted by South East Landcare Inc, a regional organisation which is part of the Landcare NSW structure. I am excited to continue my work to support a connected network of communities involved in Landcare across the South East in a Regional Community of Practice (SE RCOP).

As a RLC, I look forward to working closely with Landcare NSW, South East Local Land Services and other relevant partners, supporting local coordinators and committees to connect and consider regional approaches to planning and identifying opportunities for purposeful collaboration.

The South East Region

Due to geographical difference and climatic range, there is great diversity in Landcare groups in the South East region and the networks have varied interests. There are 14 district Landcare networks employing coordinators through the NSW Landcare Enabling Program.
