Natural Resources Commission (NRC) Mid Term Review

LLS commissioned the NSW Natural Resources Commission to undertake a mid-term review of the Landcare Enabling Program. The aim of the review was to assess if we are collecting the right data to show we are delivering on the program's outcomes.

The review concluded that there was good data to demonstrate:​

  • Increased support for Landcare groups / networks​ due to the LEP
  • Significant activity by coordinators related to grant applications, field days, on-ground activities etc.​
  • Significant collaboration is occurring
  • Some work is happening to improve governance and the strategic approach to partnering /self-sustenance ​

The review concluded that that more data was needed to show:​

  •   What this means for Landcare groups (in terms of volunteer motivation, membership etc)​
  • An actual increase in activity level/ on-ground outcomes​
  •  An actual increase in partnering or grants/funding​
  • An improvement in partners’ or community views​ around Landcare
