Come along to participate in a weed information session where you will learn how to identify and manage weeds on your farm and be given an opportunity to be a part of a strategic release of blackberry rust. Speakers will include: • The Vegetation Management team from Wagga Wagga City Council. The team will talk about procedures for the prevention and control of new incursion noxious weeds, for example, African Love Grass. • Paul McPherson, Snowy Valley Shire Council. Paul will provide information on biocontrol techniques to control the spread of blackberry, including detailing examples of rust varieties suitable to Tarcutta. • Michael Leane, Acting Manager Biosecurity and Emergency Management, Riverina LLS. Michael will explain the draft weeds management plan which are designed to guide resource allocation and investment in the Riverina.
