Annangrove Park has unique bushland located within in its boundaries, with several different Vegetation Communities.
The Endangered Ecological Communities which the bushcare group work within are Sydney Turpentine Ironbark Forest, Shale Sandstone Transition Forest, Sydney Costal River-flat Forest, and Sydney Sandstone Ridge-top Forest (which is not endangered). The group also works within an uncommon and very interesting hanging swamp.
