Field Trip
Colin Seis's property 'Winona'
On Friday 16th October, Trundle, Bruie Plains and District Landcare Group hosted a Field Trip to Colin Seis's property ‘Winona’. Colin is a pioneer of the regenerative agricultural practice of pasture cropping. He and his Son Nicholas own and run the 2000-acre property situated north of Gulgong NSW.
15 participants from Trundle, Tullibigeal, Bobadah, Ootha, Yeoval, Mudgee and Gulgong attended the day. Some of the topics of discussion included holistic grazing, pasture cropping, mixed cropping techniques and native grass seed harvesting.
The group thoroughly enjoyed the event and all benefited from the advice and experience shared by Colin, who has spent many years learning to understand how a different approach to farming and grazing can increase profitability while developing regenerative agriculture systems
