Landcare facilitator Jenny has been volunteering at the centre for sixteen years she established the Butcherbird Gully group which was the first registered Landcare group at the Wetland site. Jenny also organised the registration of the to other Registered Landcare groups on site The Thursday Mob and Ironbark Creek.

The Butcherbird Gully group of Volunteers work most Thursday and sometimes on a Tuesday with usually about ten to a dozen people each week. The activities vary from week to week depending sometimes on the weather and how many volunteers turn up on the day. Activities might include ground preparation, lying cardboard, mulching, planting and watering of plants or weed planted beds. On wet days the group may clean and maintain tool shed etc.
