Walk Mount Airly Monday 27 Oct
A walk along the Tramway Trail at Mt Airly on Monday 27 October 2014.
We’ll meet at 8am at the Airly Campground. Then car pool to where the trail diverges from the Gap Trail.
NPWS brochure: “Tramway Trail – follows the old oil shale mine tramway route around the contour of Mount Airly and through the ruins of Airly village. Distance: 5.5km each way”
We’ll car pool the first 1.5km so it’ll be a gentle 4km each way. But you can just do the 2km to the village if you prefer.
RSVP It will be helpful to know who’s coming but not essential, you can still turn up on the day.
Bring your own water, snacks, hat, camera. We should be back at the campground by 1pm where I for one will have my lunch.
