Landcare Essentials
Support for local scale innovation and partnership opportunities designed to lead to Landcare self-sustenance.
This project will deliver all of those types of activities and events that keep the community engaged in Landcare locally. Keep an eye out for:
- Innovative Landcare engagement opportunities through Low Stress Horsemanship training in Coonamble on 14 May 2026.
- Practical Sustainable Lifestyle Skills workshops for self-sustenance:
- 8-9 September Diego Bonetto Edible Weeds Roadshow to Dunedoo, Wellington, Forbes and Grenfell.
- 7-8 November The Wonderous World of Weeds with Pat Collins
- Sourdough making (9th Oct), Beekeeping, Composting (30th Sept) and Waterwise Gardening with Condobolin District Landcare
- Partnerships to increase riparian health awareness in Dunedoo and Mendooran with Three Rivers Landcare;
- Innovative programs to engage youth in the environment in Dunedoo with the launch of Three Rivers Landcare Bush Kindy on June 29!
- Equipping the community for Nursery Self Sustenance through propagation activities in Grenfell with Weddin Landcare and Forbes with Central West Lachlan Landcare; and
- Extending the delivery area of successful Native Flora/Fauna workshops in Dubbo and Narromine with Mid Macquarie Landcare.
