The Colong Wilderness Walk - Dunphy's Kowmung Adventure showcases how the voluntary efforts of early bushwalking clubs led to the dedication and protection of the Blue Mountains wilderness.
Walk Launch - 10am Friday September 26: Blue Mountains Cultural Centre, 30 Parke Street, Katoomba – morning tea provided.
Celebratory walk Katoomba to Old Ford Reserve on 6 Foot Track Day Walk - 11.30am September 26: 8km, Grade 3 walk, from Blue Mountains Cultural Centre to Old Ford Reserve from BM Cultural Centre immediately after launch.
Celebratory function and campfire at Old Ford Reserve, Megalong 4pm onwards Friday September 26: Basic BBQ dinner provided and option to be driven back to Katoomba Station by bus 6pm, 8pm, or 10pm. OR
Camp overnight at Old Ford Reserve and walk back to Katoomba Saturday September 27.
Saturday/Sunday 27/28 Celebratory Walk, Old Ford Reserve, Six Foot Track, camp at Coxs River (6km, Grade 2). Walk back either to Reserve or to Katoomba (14km, Grade 3).
