Bruxner Park and Ulidarra National Park Restoration Project 2013 - 2016
NSW Environmental Trust
Bush regenerators will restore high conservation value rainforest and old-growth moist eucalypt forest to improve habitat for threatened species. Bruxner Park Flora Reserve and the adjoining Ulidarra National Park, on the NSW north coast, comprise a dual-tenure conservation area of 1050 ha which protects part of the Coast Range located in the Coffs Harbour Local Government Area. Continued conservation of many species within the reserves depends on management of threatening weeds including Lantana and Camphor Laurel. Regeneration works will reduce these threats. Around 200,000 people visit the reserves annually. Locals and visitors will be able to participate in field days which demonstrate the conservation significance of the area and develop awareness of the need to manage threats such as weeds.
