Under the guidance of environmental expert Alex Dudley, we will be exploring Wattlebend to identify a wide variety of native animals and learn ways to monitor so we can tell if our farming
practices are helping improve the conservation of wildlife around Glen Innes.

The topics in the workshop would include:

  • Legal stuff - the laws surrounding wildlife and monitoring.
  • Why monitor? What to monitor (within the law).
  • Establishing a site.
  • Photographing the site.
  • Different approaches for different fauna.
  • Camera Trapping.
  • Artificial Shelters.
  • Sand traps.
