Hunter Region Landcare Network Field Day

This field day will showcase the efforts of the Obelisk Landcare group in restoring native vegetation to a high profile historical feature of the City
Promote the good work being undertaken by Newcastle City Council to rehabilitate and manage Themeda grasslands in a public park
Launch a National Landcare Program funded, 25 Years of Landcare grant being managed by Trees in Newcastle, a 25 year old Landcare group
Starting at 12pm, the agenda for the field day will include:
An acknowledgement of Country, acknowledgement of the Landcarers present and the supporters of their efforts to care for our natural environment
A brief update on the efforts of the Hunter Region Landcare Network
A brief introduction from all present; who is represented? What is your group involved in? And who supports you?
An outline of the projects being showcased and/or launched by the host groups
This will be followed by a walking tour of the sites within the park.
The field day should finish about 3pm.
You will need to wear Sunsafe clothing, covered walking shoes, and a hat.
