The Myall Koala and Environment group of Hawks Nest and Tea Gardens held their Christmas dinner under the wonderful shade of a coral tree on the riverfront of Tea Gardens.

The storm forecasted for the evening held off for dinner cooked by the Hook and Cook café of great fish entrées followed by fish and chips that were thoroughly enjoyed by everyone on the riverfront.

Sad news was reported at the start of the evening of a Koala found in the Hawks Nest area. A post-mortem was required to confirm the death of electrocution either by an electrical cable or by lightening.
