Tree Tops Adventure at Blue Gum Hills Regional Park

Hunter Intrepid Landcare enjoyed a day of meeting, greeting and flying through the treetops.

A group of 12 adventurous souls braved the threatening weather at the Hunter Intrepid Landcare event on Saturday, 10 June. The group were originally planning on working with National Parks and Wildlife Service at Blue Gum Hills Regional Park for a session of bush regeneration, but when the weather turned nasty, they made alternate arrangements for a meet and greet session.

After introducing themselves and chatting about the benefits of joining the Hunter Intrepid Landcare committee, the group went through their safety briefing for the Tree Tops Adventure Park. They completed all four levels of the high ropes course by working together as a team to help complete challenges such as a Tarzan swing, rope ladders, wobbly bridges, tunnels, cargo-nets and zip lines. All made extra-challenging by the slippery landing surfaces from all the rain we've had!

Hunter Intrepid Landcare would like to thank Hunter Local Land Services for their support for this event.
