Celebrating Monaro Golden Daisy, 23 Nov

Friends of Grasslands (FOG) had a successful celebration of Monaro Golden Daisy on 23 November. The daisy was in full colour on the day. In the morning 35 people visited at least one of the populations of the daisy at Old Cooma Common and during the afternoon 19 people attended a workshop at the Snowy Monaro Regional Council (SMRC) Chambers.

FOG has been working to protect the daisy and the natural temperate grassland at Old Comma Common since 1999. More recently, two other sites with healthy populations the daisy and natural temperate grasslands have been adopted.

Speakers at the workshop came from a number of organisations: FOG, SMRC, South East Local Land Services, Office of Heritage and Environment and K2C.
