Come and lend a hand to protect our precious upland swamps!

These unique, endangered swamps provide important habitat for many species of plants and animals such as the threatened Blue Mountains Water Skink and Giant Dragonfly.  If these swamps aren’t kept healthy, there is a real risk the species will decline in the future.

The working day will build on some of the fantastic work that has already been done in the area to tackle the honeysuckle problem with the aim of supporting and re-invigorating the volunteer network on the Newnes Plateau – your help is needed urgently.

Please RSVP for the event by Tuesday 20th March 2018  rechelle.fisher@lithgow.nsw.gov.au or 6354 9960 .

Wear long pants and long-sleeved top, enclosed footwear (or gum boots if you have them) and hat. A light lunch, tools, gloves, equipment and training will be provided on the day.
