The Magic of Mambo

Free Community Workshop - lunch provided This workshop will be held in the Mambo wetlands to help the community appreciate what makes this area so special. The diversity of habitat, species and the cultural significance of the wetlands.

1. Members of local bird watching group will share information about birds and their habitat
2. A custodian of the Maaiangal Nurra will demonstrate medicinal & food plants.
Afternoon session:
!. Learn from a koala carer about koalas in Mambo & Port Stephens
2. An environmental ecologist will demonstrate the importance of salt marsh, seagrass & mangrove areas
