Bush Regeneration Walk on Browns Creek
Manning Landcare is hosting a session to showcase the completion of three years of bush regeneration works on Browns Creek, Taree. Funded by the NSW Environmental Trust, bush regenerators and volunteers have been hard at work removing weeds and planting native trees along the banks of the creek. Adjoining businesses to Browns Creek have supported the project. The information session will be held on Wednesday, July 20 and will be led by Chris Scott, a bush re-generator who developed the plan of works for the project. Starting from the site at the end of Cornwall Street, Chris will explain the methods used, trees planted and benefits of retaining urban bushland. For more information call Manning Landcare on 0427 570 244. To join us on the day, just go to the little "park" at the end of Cornwall Street (which is opposite the Railway Station in Taree) at 10am. Please wear boots and bring a hat. Look forward to seeing you there!
