Feral Animal & GPG Information Session

Manning Landcare is hosting a feral information session at Killabakh School house at 6.30pm on the 22nd of Feb, 2017. Presenter will be Peter Fotheringham, Senior Biosecurity Officer from Hunter Local Land Services.

Peter Fotheringham, Senior Biosecurity Officer from Hunter Local Land Services will discuss what activity is happening locally.

Peter will also be demonstrating how motion sensor cameras can be used to detect animal numbers and movement.

Manning Landcare and Karuah Great Lakes Landcare have 12 cameras available for loan to landholders to monitor and record feral animal movements.  Following on from this session we will running a trapping school, teaching the art of set soft jaw traps and identifying signs of animal movement.  Names will be taken on the night of  landholders interested in setting up, monitoring and sharing information captured on the camera.

Update on the progress of the Giant Parramatta Grass Fungus. Infected plants will be on display.
