Open/Growing Season Grazing Management Field Day

Grazing Management Field Day on how to best plan, manage and maximise forage use, growth and recovery during a growing period. Other topics will include livestock management and planning, animal feed requirements and practical methods of assessing recovery times of grazed pastures.

Mid Lachlan Landcare with special guest Dick Richardson will be hosting an Open/Growing Season Grazing Management Field Day to discuss how to best plan, manage and maximise forage use, growth and recovery during a growing period.  Other topics will include livestock management and planning, animal feed requirements and practical methods of assessing recovery times of grazed pastures.

The field day will begin at 12pm at Cranbury Hall Cranbury and will continue with a paddock walk on Mat and Tamara Pearce's property 'Talanga'.

Light refreshments will be provided.  Please bring your own lunch, a mug, chair and an interested friend.

Directions:

From Canowindra, take the Cudal/Canowindra road for 16km and turn left into Toogong Road (sign says To Cranbury).  Travel 3km along Toogong Road (gravel), go through cross roads onto bitumen and Cranbury Hall is 300m on the left.

From Cudal, travel towards Canowindra for 11 km, turn right at Cranbury sign (Toogong 11 km), travel for approximately 3km (gravel), turn left at Cranbury Church sign.  Church and Hall are 3km on the right.
