Mid Lachlan Landcare is offering small one-off grants to landholders interested in reviving their local Landcare group in the following areas:

• Cowra
• Lyndhurst
• Canowindra
• Eugowra
• Woodstock
• Greenethorpe
• Koorawatha
• Wyangala

Funding is available for groups of landholders who:

• have an interest in improving agricultural sustainability and restoring the environment
• are willing to form a group of at least five committee members and further develop an email contact list of at least 15 other interested landholders
• have motivation and a willingness to volunteer some of their time
• have a positive vision for the future of their communities

MLL will assist groups wherever possible and provide ongoing advice and support in order to build confidence and resilience into local groups. MLL will provide:

• funds for an event or field day (subject to approval by MLL) that will help to address a local issue or concern related to improving agricultural sustainability or to managing and restoring the environment
• group insurance for one year
• assistance with starting a new group, holding meetings and forming partnerships
• administration including formal requirements such as insurance, WH&S and legal requirements
• help with accessing resources including funding opportunities and skills training
• shirts and hats embroidered with the Landcare logo for field days and group meetings to build recognition and identity as Landcarer's
