Nature Spotters

After-school fun in the great outdoors!

Whether you're a seasoned nature enthusiast or wanting to start exploring and learning, this event is perfect for kids and teens to get outside and experience the natural world in our backyard!

What: Nature Spotters is a Youth EnviroScience Program engaging local youth in the natural environment.

Each week students will focus on a different topic such as frog ID, spotlighting for nocturnal animals, collecting waterbugs to determine water quality, cleaning up the river from kayaks, and more topics to be guided by the interests of the participants.

Your child will be mentored through the sessions by experienced environmental professionals and sessions will be
hands-on explorations of the local environment so that they can enjoy the great outdoors in a confident and supported way!

When: Sessions are run after school from 330 - 530pm.

Who: This program is open to students aged 8-14 years.

Where: In Term 3, 2025 we are offering this to students in the Wellington and Dubbo areas.

Cost: $25/student (Full program cost is subsidised by the Landcare Australia Jaramas Foundation)
