2021 Update

Regeneration

The summer of 2020-21 was warm and wet which provided ideal growing conditions onsite.
Native tubestock which had been planted and survived the previous hot, dry summers now took off.
While weeds also had a vigorous season we were able to remain on top of our weed maintenance due to increasing numbers of volunteers.
During 2020 and 2021 we have met many new volunteers as the Covid 19 pandemic has brought more people outdoors seeking community based activities and our bushcare group has benefited greatly from an influx of younger volunteers.  The mental health benefits of working in nature, meeting new people and making a difference by working to improve the environment has been a focus for many of us in our group.
