Making compost from weeds

Lay thick black plastic on a cleared section of earth.
Onto this place the Tradescantia weeds.
Try to remove sticks and wood as this may pierce the plastic.
Do not overfill with weeds.
Fold the sides of plastic to seal the weeds into the bundle.
Use heavy sticks or rocks to weigh down the top of the plastic.
Ensure no light penetrates the wrapping otherwise the weeds will continue to grow.
Leave undisturbed for 6 months
Take care when unwrapping the bundle that there are no snakes or spiders hiding within.
If the compost needs more time to break down, turn the weeds and re-cover.
Use the compost as a mulch around native plants.
