Managing Roadsides Guides
New resources provide guidance to leading practice in roadside environmental management
These guidelines have been prepared for local councils seeking to achieve best practice in roadside environmental management through the use of Roadside Vegetation Management Plans. However, the guidelines will also be of relevance to managers of other linear reserves which, by nature of their shape and issues, have similar management requirements. There are four stages that lead to best practice in roadside environmental management: 1. Assessment 2. Planning 3. Implementation 4. Monitoring and evaluation A guide has been prepared for each stage and is available for downloading at the REC website (see Contact details)
