The bushcare site is located on the Randel Crescent walking trail, which is a pleasant stroll down a small tributary to the main Darling Mills Creek.

The area is bounded by houses and Bidjigal Reserve. The Vegetation Community at this bushcare site is Sydney Sandstone Gully Forest.

When the group first started work, the area was relatively good bush except for the first five metre along the edge which was full of Privet and Pittosporum undulatum (a native in shady moist gullies, but an aggressive “weed” in dryer locations away from the creek). The area was cleared and the edge mulched as a buffer from weeds with only occasional spraying along the edge now required. The group have now moved further into the bush near the creek.
