The Rummerys Hill Landcare group formed in 2009 to raise awareness of the area's special native plants and wildlife, and to foster sympathetic land management.
Rummerys Hill lies 20 kilometres north of Glen Innes, on the Emmaville Road. It is part of a largely uncleared, east-west wildlife corridor. This corridor runs over 100 kilometres, linking natural vegetation of the western slopes and the eastern fall country.
All mangers of land around Rummerys Hill (to about 9 kilometres west and 4 kilometres east of Emmaville Road) are encouraged to join the group.
