NEXT EVENT AT THE FIELD OF MARS RESERVE AND WILDLIFE REFUGE: Bird watching for all the family! Saturday 3 - 6 pm, 1 November 2014 There are over 110 birds that nest and/or visit the Field of Mars Wildlife Refuge. As an “island of bush” amongst our busy suburbs it provides an opportunity for a quiet walk to observe some of these birds in their natural habitat as they feed, nest or just pass through. At 3.30pm a guided bush walk will commence to provide an introduction to bird watching. The will be led by a bird expert from BirdLife Australia. This will be family friendly walk and children are welcome to attend with their parents or care givers. From 5 - 6pm a sausage sandwich from the BBQ will be available. Registrations are necessary. For further details and registration please phone Cathy on 9817 4935 or email rhhffps@gmail.com.
