Team leader Paddy is a founding member at the Centre and has been volunteering at the Centre since its inception. His group ‘The Mobsters’ are the ‘We Can Do It Team’ at the centre they tackle evasive plants with gusto such as blackberry, morning glory, Madeira vine you name it they’ll eradicate it. This group were Landcareing at the Wetland Centre long before Landcare was established and the group are stronger now than ever. Paddy’s teams spaning the thirty years at the centre have planted the majority of the established vegetation now on the site.
The ‘Mobsters’ work most Tuesdays and Thursdays and have worked towards transforming the Wetland Centre into a beautiful environmental area for the community to visit by walking the many walking paths.
