The first two days, 9th & 10th of October, will be demonstration days with a catered lunch. Meeting at Araluen Campground, there will be a short walk to the site. The following two days, the 11th & 12th of October; Apical will lead volunteers in targeted weed management operations.

The methods demonstrated are for practical and long term weed management of identified weeds of significance along Araluen Creek. 
Weeds species include but are not limited to:
    • African Thornbush,
    • Privet,
    • Madeira Vine
    • Blackberry
    • Wandering Trad

Techniques include use of chainsaws, chemicals, and other tools. Tools will be provided as well as limited PPE.

For insurance purposes, all participants will need to be members of a Landcare Group. Membership forms will be available on the day, membership is $2 per year.
