Sarah Anderson will deliver a talk reflecting on her year traveling with her young family (including a 4 and 7 year old!) through North American, Scandinavia, England and Japan volunteering in a variety of food production and education farms. Sarah now operates a market garden of her own in the Illawarra area. She has also successfully rallied plenty of enthusiasm at her local school to engage students and teachers in developing their own vegetable garden and incorporating the learning into the school syllabus. Essentially Sarah’s talk will be sharing stories of abundance and sampling flavours from the veggie patch of life!
We have put a start time as 5pm for arriving, chatting and craft activities. Sarah will start her talk about 6pm, during which time the younger folk could continue their craft activities outside, allowing a quieter space for Sarah’s talk. We will have a light meal to follow. People are welcome to come to some, or all of the event – whatever works for them.
