Local Landcare Coordinator Initiative
The Local Landcare Coordinator Initiative is a jointly delivered program from Local Land Services and Landcare NSW. It is funded by the NSW State Governments $15 million over 4 year commitment to support Landcare in NSW. This project provides Upper Lachlan Catchment Coordinating Committee Inc. funds to employ a part-time (14hrs per week) Local Landcare Coordinator, to work with their host organisation(s) as part of a statewide network.
Local Landcare Coordinators will work with their host organisations and networks to provide support and deliver programs to build capacity and connections within local communities to produce on ground change.
They will help increase the capacity of their organisation to increase community engagement and provide support to more groups and landholders; and to help improve the financial sustainability of Landcare.
