- The great team at Apical Bushfire and Planning are returning to the Araluen Valley for some practical Weed Management Demonstration days with Upper Deua Catchment Landcare Group!

The first two days - Thursday 9th & Friday 10th of October - will be main demonstration days with a catered lunch. Local Araluen residents, Landcarers and Landholders welcome, but please RSVP for catering purposes. The group will be meeting at Araluen Campground, and there is a short walk to the site.
The following two days - the 11th & 12th of October - the Apical team will lead volunteers in targeted weed management operations along the Araluen Creek.
The methods demonstrated are for practical and long term weed management of identified weeds of significance along Araluen Creek. Species include, but are not limited to:
- African Thornbush,
- Privet,
- Madeira Vine,
- Blackberry,
- Wandering Trad.
Techniques include use of chainsaws, chemicals, and other tools. Equipment will be provided as well as limited PPE.
For insurance purposes, all participants will need to be members of a Landcare Group. Membership forms will be available on the day, membership is $2 per year.
