The issue
Challenges of climate, work, distance, floodwaters and mice meant the Walgett and District Garden Club were itching for a club day and catch up!
The solution
Ange and Will MacAlpine 'Booka', The Marra hosted a club day with gardeners from Walgett, Carinda, Collarenebri and Brewarrina.
The impact
A group of 20 traveled to 'Booka' to learn about Anges newly established, drought tolerant garden. This was followed by a bring your own lunch in the garden.
A great opportunity of like minded people to catch up, travel somewhere new and bond in a beautiful setting. As you can see in the photo, our age group is wide!
Learnings
A simple, no fuss day. Well attended considering the great distance to travel.
