Autumn Garden Fair
Gardeners will find plenty of inspiration at an autumn garden festival in Kandos and Rylstone.
This year's Kandos Garden Fair promises to be bigger and better than ever with over 10 town and country open gardens, talks by garden experts and a garden-themed market.
The biennial Kandos Garden Fair will be held on the first weekend in April and for the first time will be hosted and supported by the Kandos branch of the Country Women's Association.
This year's theme is 'Successful Gardening in a Harsh Environments' and will showcase the amazing efforts of local gardeners meeting local environmental challenges.
On the Saturday there will be a garden-themed market, including food, plant and produce stalls and an opportunity for home gardeners to share gardening tips and tricks.
Watershed Landcare will be there with information about soil health and biology, a workshop on native vegetation identification and some free goodies to give away. Drop by our stall and say 'Hi'.
There will also be demonstrations and talks on a range of topics, with special guest speakers including Costa Georgiardis (ABC Gardening Show), Diego Bonetto (wild food forager), Fiona Ogilvie (The Land) and lots more.
The Kandos Garden Fair will be held on Saturday 2 and Sunday 3 April. Pay-on-the-day entry to gardens, talks, demonstrations, tours and workshops: $15/person or $3/individual garden.
