Rural women from around the Central West will come together for two days of fun, learning and to experience the food and sights of the Mudgee region.
The Influential Women workshop will be attended by participants of the 2015 Women in Agriculture programs run by Central West Lachlan Landcare, Macquarie 2100, and Watershed Landcare.
“Women involved in agriculture or ag-related trades often have little opportunity to participate in professional development activities.” said Agness Knapik, Watershed Landcare Coordinator.
“We're delighted to be able to support women in our agricultural community and to bring together like-minded women from the Dubbo, Mudgee and Parkes districts to network and learn from each other in such a stunning setting.” she continued.
The participants will be treated to the stunning views overlooking the Lowe Wines vineyards and local and seasonal food by Kim Currie at The Zin House during the 2 day workshop, on Monday 20 and Tuesday 21 April.
The workshop will be hosted by past RIRDC Rural Woman of the Year, Catherine Marriott. Catherine is a passionate advocate for rural Australia and most importantly, it’s people.
The workshop will cover social media, leadership and team dynamics, handling stress and building resilience and personal goal setting through fun, interactive activities designed to instil confidence, knowledge and teamwork.
This event is supported by Central West Lachlan Landcare, Maquarie 2100, Watershed Landcare, Target 100, The Zin House and Lowe Wines through funding from Central West Local Land Services.
