Bird Working Group
Young District Landcare formed the Bird Working Group in 2016. Woodland birds are declining due to habitat loss and fragmentation, and many are listed as threatened. The group was formed with the aim of increasing community awareness and providing people with an opportunity to be proactive in conserving native woodland birds through provision of resources about revegetation and regeneration of vegetation that benefits native birds, and by hosting events such as bird forums with expert speakers.
