Landcare in NSW Online workshop series

A workshop series to build knowledge in topics that are relevant to Landcare across NSW.

A little knowledge is a dangerous thing...
How can we know enough to start in the right direction?
Join fellow landcarers at our Landcare in NSW online workshop series to build more than a little knowledge in topics that are relevant to Landcare across NSW.
These workshops offer a shallow dive into aspects of our Landcare work in NSW, sharing knowledge and ideas so that we can collectively make sense of our next steps towards partnerships and innovations.
This series will pilot a format of knowledge exchange, collective sense-making and idea generation, connecting you with relevant knowledge holders and links to support your landcare work beyond the workshop.

Workshop 1 Natural Capital:  This workshop was held 16th October 2025 and provided an opportunity to learn more about natural capital programs in NSW and how Landcare and landholders may be able to participate in and benefit from programs designed to protect and restore our environment, including native plants and animals.
Presenters included:
  • Local Land Services Natural Capital Advisors Team
  • Associate Professor Sarah Milne, Director of the Resources, Environment and Development Department at the Crawford School of Public Policy at ANU.

Workshop 2: Climate Adaptation – This workshop was held on Thursday 30 October 2.30pm-4.30pm
At this workshop we learnt more about climate adaptation programs in NSW and how Landcare and landholders may be able to participate in activities or explore partnerships and innovations that help us adapt to the changes we face. We were joined by a team of presenters from the NSW Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) to bring us the latest on the science and tools to support our understanding of climate change and some of the areas Landcare can help.
