Bush Mates
Bush Mates is a community engagement project developed by NPA and supported by WWF, Greening Australia and the University of Australia to encourage Western Sydney’s 300,000 new residents to establish a respectful and sustainable relationship between their communities, wildlife and habitat.
A grant was awarded by Greater Sydney Local Land Services through funding from the Australian Government’s National Landcare Programme to develop the new program.
It includes a range of education and awareness raising activities as well as onground bush regeneration works.
